Missions

We are all created to impact our communities and the world for the glory of Jesus Christ.  Matthew 28:19  commissions us to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and son and of the Holy spirit.”

At Chestnut Mountain Church we believe that every follower of Christ is called to this mission. We believe that to radically change our world and our communities that we must all live our lives individually and corporately in a way that greatly glorifies God and radically changes the world.

At Chestnut mountain Church we believe that we should be strategic and plan with purpose the mission that God gave us in Matthew 28:19.

Global

Chestnut Mountain Church is involved in world missions in three primary ways:

Global partnerships

  • Our global partnerships revolve around relationships with like-minded missionaries, churches and organizations that share our vision and strategy.

Short-term mission trips

  • Our short term mission trips are designed to support existing partnerships and to explore future partnerships with church planting as the main strategic goal.
  • We live out our mission statement and vision as a church globally though short-term mission trips to provide strategic support for our missionary partners.

Leader training

  • One of the most effective ways to multiply our capacity to reach the nations for Christ is to train and equip national christian leaders. Chestnut Mountain invest in global leader training by supporting our global mission partners and organizations through short-term leadership training trips.

Momentum Meetings (learn more about missions)

  • Momentum is a quantity determined by the mass and velocity of an object. The momentum of an object remains unchanged unless acted upon by external forces.
  • Momentum meetings at Chestnut Mountain Church are about the body of Christ locking arms with one another and becoming the force that creates enough mass and velocity necessary ” to do life together in a way that greatly glorifies God and radically changes the world.”
  • Send us an email at Missions@chestnutmountain.org or call Travis Hardegree at 770.967.3197 to find out when the next Momentum meeting will be held.
